Each year, Kevin and Sue Zurin open their Mount Joy alpaca farm, Eastland Alpacas, to the public for two weekends of tours, wagon rides and a chance to cuddle up with a cutie — an alpaca cutie, that is.

“Having our open house each year gives families a chance to see and learn about these wonderful animals,’’ Sue Zurin says. “We enjoy seeing everyone having a great time interacting with the alpacas.”

The farm, at 2089 Risser Mill Road, Mount Joy, will be open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. through Nov. 11.

Visitors are welcome to roam through the pasture to feed the alpacas, or they can choose to take a wagon ride through the farm for a more mobile look.

The Lancaster County Alpaca 4-H Club will give obstacle course demonstrations throughout the weekend, too.
