Milbank Mills is the oldest business in Chillicothe, Missouri, and is celebrating 151 years of business this year.

Ed Milbank, president, said the company was started in 1867 by his great grandfather George Milbank. He said they are a basic feed manufacturer and they offer all types of feed for livestock, poultry, wild birds, game birds and fish.

“We are one of the few independent family and employee-owned feed manufacturers still in existence,” Milbank said. “We make all of our feed from the ground up and we market them directly in the area. This means that we can be responsive in meeting any special needs quickly. We can also save cost by using modern automotive mill and then direct delivery to customers who need our products.”

Milbank said traditional livestock feed would be beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, chicken, sheep, goats and horses. The company sells feed for game bird species such as quail, pheasant and chukar.

They also offer feed for llamas and alpacas.
