Our seventh (and second-to-last) Manitowoc Winter Market is upon us this coming Saturday, Feb. 10, at CrossFit, 3651 Dewey St., Unit C, in Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Our only remaining market will be during the same hours Feb. 24, also at CrossFit. These markets are in the same building as The Eyecare Place and the DMV.

These next two markets will feature two vendors that raise and produce beautiful and warm yarns.

Cindy Ellenbecker, of New Holstein, raises her own sheep, goats and rabbits. She spins their fiber into gorgeous yarns that she sells, along with wonderful products made from these yarns like hats, mittens, socks and other items.

Also at the market will be Kevin Stoer from LondonDairy Alpacas Ranch of rural Two Rivers. Stoer also features beautiful home-spun items made from his alpacas.

Why buy natural fibers? They breathe, keeping you comfortable in hot weather by absorbing perspiration and releasing it into the air, while keeping you warm in cold weather. They are also water repellent, stretchy, and wrinkle- and odor-resistant. Alpaca is also naturally hypoallergenic.
